Habitat for Humanity builds new homes so families in need can get a fresh start. When they asked us to take a look at their website, we quickly determined that it was a little behind the times in both design and function.
So we did what any Habitat for Humanity volunteer would do: We built them a new home so they could get a fresh start. And since 2015 is the organization's 30th anniversary, there was no better time for a new online home.
Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County helps transform lives by partnering with corporations, churches and other organizations to construct simple, decent, affordable homes for residents whose income is 30%-60% of the average median income for the area.
Our challenge: Build a visually compelling, user-friendly website that fulfills the Habitat mission to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Our goal was to develop a fresh new look for the site that was clean, flexible and inspiring. In addition, it was critical that the design offered easy access to helpful information and visitors felt inspired to volunteer, donate, attend events and grow the organization.
Of course, it also had to be mobile friendly. Now, users can apply for homeownership, check out volunteer opportunities or donate to the cause directly from their mobile phones.
Habitat for Humanity of Greenville kicked off their 30th anniversary with a bang. Everyone who has seen the website loves it—most importantly the President and CEO of Habitat Greenville! The CEO said, "Every time I look at it, I am more impressed!"
