Sitting in front of the bright computer screen, I realized the presentation waiting to be created was like a heavy weight, slowing down my mind. And that phrase “death by PowerPoint” kept taunting me.

In May of 2010, I embarked on the beginning of an exciting career here at Jackson Marketing Group as the Logistics Intern. Affectionately referred to as "Intern Joe" for the next six months, I found that my job was anything but average. My task list included monthly data entry, event preparation, hotel contacts, and the occasional on-site event setup.

Sorry, had to do that.

Choosing new vendors for client driven events is never easy. We all trust our favorite hotels, venues and caterers but every now and then we must source a new vendor for a new service. While there’s something to be said for a cold read, when it comes right down to the nitty-gritty, there are some proofreading rules that must be adhered to if you want to ensure accuracy, minimize costly reprinting expenses and avoid embarrassment.
